Picture of a waning crescent moon just after the sun dropped below the horizon. The silhouette foreground is vegetation and shrubs on sand dune caps of a cliff, with a steep drop off just behind this ledge. So, the sun had set behind this ledge for a little while, and was finally setting below the horizon in the distance. The sky really did have a purple-ish tint to it. Fortunately, I had my tripod with me. This was my first succesful "long exposure" shot at night. I've made a little progress since then, but not much.
