An older photo that I'm finally getting around to posting.

Here you can see two of the three castles built above the town of Ribeauvillé (Alsace, France; aka Rappoltsweiler), all built by the Lords of Rappoltstein.
The larger one is the (Sankt) Ullrichsburg ((Saint) Ullrichs castle - somtimes the castle's name includes the "saint" and sometimes not, depending on the sources), built in the 12th century with various additions till the 16th century.
The second castle is called the Giersberg and was built in the 12th century with additions till the 17th century when it was given up after a lightning struck the building and damaged it.

The third and oldest castle (Hohrappoltstein) - built sometime in the 11th century - consists only of a keep and a moat on the top of the mountain ridge - but as the keep is badly damaged it can't be seen in between the trees of the summit
